TL;DR
I made a book outlining tool on a spreadsheet.
Because that’s how you get your story to excel.
(see what I did there…?)
Want to try it out?
For one week only, it’s $1.99 at my Stan Store.
Nothing makes my heart downcast quite like a book “outline” that looks like Mr. Boringus McBulletpoint’s grocery list.
Let’s get real real for a second:
You can’t write a kick-ass book with a half-assed book outline.
A solid book outline not only ensures you cover all of your main ideas, it becomes a motivational tool to keep you moving forward.
Where most people fail with book outlines is not so much with the structure or the ideas—it’s the stories. They haven’t taken the time to pair up their ideas with the stories to present those ideas.
But stories are Idea Packages. You can’t effectively deliver those ideas without the right vehicle.
Many of my clients are CEOs and entrepreneurs who have no trouble building complex corporate strategy and financial reports on mile-long spreadsheets, so it made me ask myself:
“Self, why not create a book outlining tool with a spreadsheet?”
Why not indeed.
For the past few weeks, I’ve been setting up a Stan Store of digital products and decided to offer my new book outline spreadsheet for only $1.99. But only for a week. Then it goes up to $9.99.
Is this a sales pitch?
Yeah, I guess. So let’s just move on and not make it a big deal.
On the spreadsheet, you’ll find two sheets—one for you to fill out as the book outline and one that serves as an example.
But if you feel stuck on your outline, then you can always grab a 60-minute book coaching session and we can get you unstuck. Paid subscribers—you get that coaching session for half off. Just shoot me a message.
Until next time, keep telling your story.
